As part of their ambitious global growth strategy, OnRobot are looking for an industry expert to build on the existing revenue streams, concentrating on new partners and new industries, focusing specifically on their Screwdriver & Assembly application.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The Business Development Manager - Screwdriver & Assembly is a strategic role and will report into the Chief Business Development Officer who leads the global sales and marketing organization.
You will be responsible for building business for the OnRobot Screwdriver & Assembly line. Typical end-users are companies within the manufacturing industry (metal, electric and electronics, machinery etc).
The mission of the Business Development Managers is twofold:
- To educate the end-user – the manufacturing company in OnRobot’s value propositions, i.e. to create a demand for OnRobot at the system integrator and/or the distributor (partner).
- To build up new partnerships that have offerings targeted towards the specific end-user groups.
The main tasks will be:
- Develop and grow an effective distribution channel.
- Establish and drive sales activities for the tools in scope.
- Strategize and plan marketing activities together with the Marketing and Channel teams.
- Create and conduct sales presentations.
- Manage potential client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
- Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospects.
- Report on market behaviour, customer insights, etc.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience focused on growing existing or new business. You will have a proven track record of business development and a strong professional network, specifically within the automation industry.

Performance-driven and highly flexible, you work hard to achieve your goals while also celebrating wins. You thrive in an agile, international company with ambitious targets.
As this is an international role, you must be proficient in English (speaking and writing) and confident working cross-culturally. Proficiency in other languages will be advantageous. Although this is a home-based role (with access to your closest OnRobot office), you will be expected to travel internationally on a regular basis so it is essential that you are located close to a major transportation hub.
