Robot Applications Test Engineer with a Passion for Ease of Use

Do you want to take on the challenge to test and successfully deploy our innovative products in collaborative robot applications? Are you experienced in robot integration and do you master the art of testing and verification? Then you might be our new Robot Applications Test Engineer!
As an Applications Test Engineer you will be designing and developing test cases and realistic use cases for robot applications, raising the bar and setting new standards in the industry on intuitive user guidance in deploying collaborative robot applications.
You will, in collaboration with your R&D colleagues, develop and run application tests and share related knowledge to your colleagues to help our organization releasing high quality products with excellent user experience.
The role requires you to have experience in designing and/or installing industrial applications in the field, understanding the pain points met during deployment of robots and how to address those.
An integral part of your role is to scrutinize, review and test new products during product development, providing feedback from a user perspective to the R&D team, ensuring we deliver the optimal products to the market.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Research and Development and be part of a skilled and agile cross-functional R&D organization. On an everyday basis, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders of the R&D team, product management, sales, marketing, Global and Regional Tech support engineers within the company.
Your workplace is in Aalborg or Odense (Denmark) or Budapest (Hungary), some short-term business travels might be needed from time to time in this role.
Roles and responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing tests and realistic use cases to ensure quality and ease of use for our intuitive application designs with focus on collaborative applications, lowering the integration barrier for robot integrators and end users. You will serve as evangelist for robot application testing, having the customer view withing the R&D organization and help impose a user centric application and world class test mindset in the company.
- Develop and execute application test and use cases across the OnRobot product portfolio
- Validate requirements for new product development across the robots supported with a strong user centric approach
- Review and test all prototypes and beta products to be released by R&D
- Share test and use case related competence within the R&D organization, organize training and tutorials and provide support for the R&D colleagues in testing related issues
Qualified candidates will have:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar
- Minimum 3 years of application engineering experience
- Minimum 5 year of application and product testing experience
- Field experience is an advantage
- Programming experience in industrial robots, PLC, script, python or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English

You must be comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment which will challenge your professional skills. You are self-motivated, requires a minimum of supervision and is a team player with great interpersonal skills.
Candidates must have valid residence and work permit for EU to be considered for the role.
