2022
December - D:PLOY - industry's first automated platform for building, running, monitoring, and re-deploying collaborative applications.
March - New 7th-axis robot elevator, Lift100 enables a wide range of palletizing tasks. It can be complemented with the Pallet Station which helps the operator place the pallet in the correct position.
January - Released 2FGP20 electric gripper for palletizing and slip sheet handling.
2021
November - Released WebLytics, the first remote production monitoring, and diagnostic software for collaborative applications.
October - Launched Learn, a free learning platform that brings collaborative applications know-how to all.
March - Launched the intelligent magnetic gripper MG10.
February - Released the world's most powerful electric vacuum gripper, VGP20.
2020
December - First OnRobot virtual global event on collaborative automation.
November - Launched OnRobot 2FG7 parallel gripper.
September - Out-of-the-box robotic sanding tool.
June - Complete plug-and-play intelligent Screwdriver.
April - Launched food-grade-certified OnRobot Soft Gripper.
- Launched OnRobot Eyes, a 2.5D vision system.
February - Launched 3-finger electrical gripper with large stroke for handling a wide range of cylindrical objects.
2019
December - Launched the new small, lightweight electric vacuum gripper VGC10.
November - OnRobot One-System Solution wins gold in Leap Award.
September - OnRobot One-System Solution, a new mechanical and electrical interface for any OnRobot EoAT.
May - OnRobot acquires rights to the disruptive, flexible robot technology behind the RAGNAR robot and hires nearly half of the employees from defunct Blue Workforce.
April - Gecko Gripper wins the prestigious Robotics Award from Hannover Messe and takes silver in the Edison Awards.
January - RG2-FT gripper and the Gecko Gripper become commercially available worldwide.
2018
August - U.S. venture fund Summit Partners invests growth equity in OnRobot.
- Acquisition of Purple Robotics and innovative dual vacuum gripper technology.
June - Gecko Gripper wins the coveted Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award (IERA) at the 50th International Symposium on Robotics in Munich.
- OnRobot A/S established from the merger of three innovative end-of-arm tooling companies – On Robot, OptoForce and Perception Robotics – to facilitate the ongoing growth of collaborative robotics.
2017 and 2018
Offices are established in the US, Malaysia, and Germany. The distribution network expands to over 100 distributors in more than 40 countries.
2016
Substantial investments were received from private investors and The Danish Growth Fund. The distribution network expands to Asia, North America, and Oceania.
2015
On Robot was founded with RG2 and RG6 plug-and-play electric grippers.
2014
Bilge J. Christiansen begins the design of an innovative cable-free gripper and Ebbe O. Fuglsang joins to develop software and user interface for the RG2 gripper.
2012
OptoForce founded by Ákos Tar and József Veres, creating robotic force/torque sensors to automate tasks requiring the dexterity of the human hand, with investors including Hungarian venture capitalists Day One Capital, Finext Startup and Momentum and Enrico Krog Iversen, former CEO of Universal Robots.
2011
Perception Robotics founded by Nicholas Wettels and Helena Yli-Renko based on a gecko-inspired gripper for handling large, flat objects.
