2025
OnRobot launched the VGP30, a high-payload pneumatic vacuum gripper designed for demanding palletizing and material-handling applications with payloads up to 30 kg.
2024
OnRobot introduced Off-The-Shelf Solutions: complete solutions powered by D:PLOY delivered together with expert integration partners.
2023
Introduction of D:PLOY - the industry's first automated platform for building, running, monitoring, and re-deploying robotic applications. designed for specific high-demand and high-mix applications.
D:PLOY received the DIRA Technology Prize recognizing its potential to simplify the deployment of robotic applications.
2022
Launch of LIFT100 our new 7th-axis robot elevator, that enables a wide range of palletizing tasks. It can be complemented with the Pallet Station which helps the operator place the pallet in the correct position.
Release of the 2FGP20 electric gripper for palletizing and slip sheet handling.
2021
Release of WebLytics the first remote production monitoring, and diagnostic software for collaborative applications.
Launch of OnRobot LEARN, a free learning platform that brings collaborative applications know-how to all.
Launch of the intelligent magnetic gripper MG10, and the world's most powerful electric vacuum gripper, VGP20.
2020
OnRobot expanded its product portfolio with the large-stroke 3FG15 3-finger electric gripper, the food-grade-certified Soft Gripper, the 2FG7 parallel gripper and OnRobot Eyes, a 2.5D vision system. The company also launched the OnRobot Screwdriver and OnRobot Sander.
2019
Launch of the new small, lightweight electric vacuum gripper VGC10.
Launch of OnRobot's One-System Solution, a new mechanical and electrical interface for any OnRobot EoAT.
OnRobot acquired rights to the disruptive, flexible robot technology behind the RAGNAR robot and hired nearly half of the employees from defunct Blue Workforce.
RG2-FT gripper and the Gecko Gripper became commercially available worldwide.
2018
OnRobot A/S was established from the merger of three innovative end-of-arm tooling companies: On Robot, OptoForce and Perception Robotics, to facilitate the ongoing growth of collaborative robotics.
Acquisition of Purple Robotics and innovative dual vacuum gripper technology.
2017 and 2018
Offices are established in the US, Malaysia, and Germany. The distribution network expands to over 100 distributors in more than 40 countries.
2016
Substantial investments were received from private investors and The Danish Growth Fund. The distribution network expands to Asia, North America, and Oceania.
2015
On Robot, one of the companies that later formed OnRobot A/S, was founded around the RG2 and RG6 plug-and-play electric grippers.
2014
Bilge J. Christiansen begins the design of an innovative cable-free gripper and Ebbe O. Fuglsang joins to develop software and user interface for the RG2 gripper.
2012
OptoForce founded by Ákos Tar and József Veres, creating robotic force/torque sensors to automate tasks requiring the dexterity of the human hand, with investors including Hungarian venture capitalists Day One Capital, Finext Startup and Momentum and Enrico Krog Iversen, former CEO of Universal Robots.
2011
Perception Robotics founded by Nicholas Wettels and Helena Yli-Renko based on a gecko-inspired gripper for handling large, flat objects.
