surface finishing

Polishing, deburring, and sanding are core task in surface finishing. Every surface has small variations, which requires the sander or polisher to apply a constant force and to move with an even speed to achieve an even result. 

By adding a 6-axis force/torque sensor, the EoAT will follow any contour while exerting a constant pressure for a perfect and even surface.
To optimize surface finishing operations, we recommend the HEX force/torque sensor.

Assembly

Assembly operations usually require the robot to locate items and grip them precisely. The right gripper and force-control software will give your robot the ability to handle small parts of various shapes and sizes with human-like precision. 

All this is done without compromising flexibility because the software allows the robotic arm to be easily programmed to find the right orientation while assembling.
To optimize assembly operations, we recommend the HEX force/torque sensor, the RG2-FT gripper, or the RG2/6 grippers.

pick&place

Much like assembly operations, pick and place operations also require flexibility, sensitivity as well as consistency. This can be achieved, e.g., with a dual gripper where two grippers are installed on the same robot arm. 

The two grippers work independently of one another allowing the robot arm to handle more objects at a time. The result will be an increase in productivity because the dual gripper can handle two objects while performing two actions simultaneously. Moreover, you can use the same gripper to handle different sized objects – there is no need to purchase different tools for different sizes.
To optimize pick and place operations, we recommend the RG2-FT grippers, the RG2/RG6 grippers, the Gecko gripper, the VG10 gripper, or the HEX force/torque sensor.
