At just 1.1 kg, the 2FG7 can handle up to 7 kg with force-fit gripping and up to 11 kg with form-fit gripping. Its compact 144 × 90 × 71 mm body helps preserve robot payload and fit into crowded machine-tending cells.
Grip speed is adjustable from 16–450 mm/s and force from 20–140 N, giving the same gripper the range to move quickly between parts and close with controlled force. A force sensor in one finger adds direct grip-force feedback.
IP67 protection helps the 2FG7 operate around coolant, dust, and washdown-prone production areas. It also keeps hold of the workpiece during power loss, reducing the risk of a dropped part if power is interrupted.
The 2FG7 delivers a high payload-to-weight ratio: up to 7 kg force-fit and 11 kg form-fit payload from a 1.1 kg gripper. That leaves more of the robot payload available for the workpiece and keeps the end-of-arm package compact.
An integrated brake keeps the workpiece gripped if power is lost. This is especially useful in machine tending and elevated handling, where an unexpected release can damage the part, machine, or surrounding equipment.
Standard bellows support IP67 operation, while optional silicone bellows provide ISO Class 5 cleanroom capability and ESD-safe resistance. This lets the same gripper platform serve general industry, electronics, and controlled environments.
Use the 2FG7 for CNC machine tending, material handling, pick and place, and assembly where compact size, strong payload, and environmental protection matter. Adjustable speed and force support both fast transfer and controlled component handling.
