Three-finger - Centric grip - 150 mm stroke

3FG15

Flexible centric gripping for CNC parts

  • Automatic centring - position cylindrical workpieces accurately in machine chucks
  • External grip diameters of 4–152 mm and internal diameters of 35–176 mm, depending on finger configuration
  • Internal or external gripping - use form fit or friction fit for different part geometries
  • Customizable fingertips - adapt the contact points to the workpiece and process

Centre parts for reliable machine loading

Three equally spaced fingers centre cylindrical workpieces as they grip. This supports stable handling and repeatable placement when loading parts into CNC lathe chucks.

02

Grip from the inside or outside

Grip around the outside of a part or expand inside a bore. Internal and external gripping describe the contact location; force-fit relies on friction, while form-fit uses the part geometry to support the load. Maximum payload is 10 kg with standard fingers in force-fit, 8 kg with flexible fingers in force-fit, or 15 kg in form-fit.

Redeploy across changing part sizes

Depending on finger configuration, the 3FG15 supports external gripping diameters of 4–152 mm and internal gripping diameters of 35–176 mm. Adjustable force, integrated software and customizable fingertips make it practical to change between parts and processes.

WHY 3FG15

Centric gripping for flexible CNC tending

Three synchronized fingers bring the workpiece towards the gripper centre as they close. This creates stable three-point contact and supports accurate positioning in machine chucks.

Grip outside a part or inside a bore. Either direction can use force-fit or form-fit, depending on part and fingertip geometry. Force-fit relies on friction; form-fit supports the load through geometry.

The 150 mm stroke, adjustable gripping force and customizable fingertips let one 3FG15 handle a broad range of cylindrical workpieces. Integrated software simplifies parameter changes between production runs.

Application

Built for CNC lathe tending

Load and unload cylindrical workpieces across changing CNC production. The 3FG15 automatically centres parts, supports internal and external gripping, and combines a 150 mm stroke with adjustable force and customizable fingertips.
